Park Ranelagh - Paris

Chris and I had visited the Musée Marmottan Monet, which has the best collection of works by Claude Monet.  We also lucked out because they had a special exhibition of the work of Berthe Morisot, the only woman painter who exhibited with the impressionists.  I love her intimate scenes, loose brushwork and vibrant colors.

This is the Park Ranelagh, which we discovered when we took a lunch break from the museum and picked up some pasta and carrot salad at a local deli.  We ate lunch on a bench looking across the park, richly green from the recent rains.  We couldn't find any plaque on the statue telling us who it was, so I imagine it's a woman exhausted from walking all over Paris and sad that she's leaving the next morning.
