"Back from Errands" Hyde Park, Tampa

"Back from Errands" Hyde Park, Tampa, 8x8 oil

I wasn't really sure what style this house was; it seemed to have been added on here and there.  But it does have nice proportions and I loved the green color.  Which of course I exaggerated a tad.

On Saturday morning Hyde Park is a busy place, with people walking dogs, gardening, and socializing on stoops and driveways, and with cars arriving and returning from chauffeur duties and errands.  For the title I assumed the latter.

Craftsman Cutie–Hyde Park

"Craftsman Cutie–Hyde Park", 8x8, oil

Here I painted another one of those cute house with the over sized stubby columns, and I have gotten no farther in discovering a name for this American Craftsman style.  I should probably ask the Hyde Park Historical Society.

This is the first painting that I included a car.  I seem to be noticing white cars recently, and I think they will be appearing in my painting regularly.  I like the spot of high contrast and the balance with the weight of the house.

Regal Lady–Hyde Park

"Regal Lady–Hyde Park", 8x10 oil

This is one of the larger homes in Old Hyde Park.  I like it because it's so stately. I love the arch over the dormer window and all that elegant white woodwork.
